I am going to try really hard to do a blog post each week. I want to remember what these days, weeks and years are made up of before they fly right on past. That's why I started this blog in the first place...but then the weeks just fly right by. So I may be posting random thoughts and things that may bore you out of your mind to read but at least one day I can look back on them.
1. Last week we had the biggest snow and sleet that I can ever remember and it just hung around and hung around. This is so unusual for our part of Tennessee. Usually it snows and by the next day the temps are back up and it's gone. Not the case this time. It sleeted like close to 5 inches and then came a snow storm and all total we had about 1 foot of snow from Monday - Friday last week. The mail didn't even run on Monday and no one went anywhere. Michael stayed home from work too. It was great snow to sled in though! We didn't have a sled for Jonah (#parentfail) but we just pushed him down a small hill in our yard in his little tykes car. It just glided right on the top of the snow.
2. We've had the same end tables in our living room since before we got married (almost 10 years ago) and I love them. they are sturdy and deep and work perfectly beside a couch. But lately I have felt there was too much brown in our living room (brown, carpet, brown leather sectional and brown tables and beige walls) so I finally decided to bite the bullet and paint them. I had a lot of Annie Sloan Pure White chalk paint left so that's what I used. It only took me both of Haley's naps on Saturday to get them painted and I am loving the white!

I still need to apply the wax and distress them a bit.
Hope you have a great week!
The end tables look great! Can't wait to see the final product!
ReplyDeleteThe end table looks great! I feel the need to make changes in each room from time to time. White will really brighten things up.
