I finally finished up all our December Daily pages and I am so happy with how it all turned out and can't wait to have in book-form in my hands! I also did some beautiful double and single page layouts for the kid's annual books that I will share at a later time. For now, here is the rest of the pages.
We still have one more Christmas to do with my side of the family but that will be this Saturday. We had to wait for my sister (who is in her residency) to get to be off and for my Uncle (who is battling cancer) to get a break from his treatments. I am once again reminded that Christmas is about being with your family near and far and enjoying their presence and not about the presents.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas too!

December Daily 2014 {Part 1}
I decided to give the concept of a December Daily a try this year. The idea is to take a picture each day and scrapbook it into an album for the whole month of December. I knew I would need a good template to use and some easy digital products. I did my research right before December started and found what I thought would work best for me. So far it's going great and I've been able to keep myself caught up with minimal time and effort. We are about halfway through the month so I thought I'd share my pages so far.

First Annual Favorite Things Party
This party is so fun and different than a typical gift exchange-type party. I did not come up with this idea but I've seen versions of it on blogs in the past couple of years. I decided this was the year I would host one. A Favorite Things party is where you invite your friends to bring a certain number of their favorite things (we did 3) and then they present their items and names are drawn to see which person gets to take home one of their favorite things! They brought 3 of the SAME thing and we set a dollar limit of no more than $15 (including tax). Some people just brought one item and some brought a goodie bag type with a couple of items. It was really fun to see all the different things and get to know people a little better too. Everyone brought a dessert or appetizer and we just chatted and pigged out.
Here are some pictures of the party and the items. Next year I hope we are in a bigger place (hopefully in our new house) and I can invite all my friends and family. I had to limit the number of people this year because I knew if I invited too many I wouldn't have enough room to put them all (my max is about 10 people) but I still wanted to give the party a try and see how my friends/family liked it.
Charlee, Christina and Mandy
Everyone deposited their items on my hutch and I put their name beside them.
Fuzzy slipper, nail polish and big earrings.
Special scrubbies and holders.
A couple of goodie bags
A favorite mascara.
Pretty candles and coffee cups with gift cards.
Gift cards and other goodies.
It was fun evening with the ladies and a couple of little girls!

Christmas Home Tour
Merry Christmas to you!! So glad you stopped by to take a peak at our home decorated for this magical season. I have 95% of the decorations done and just need to add some outdoor stuff. It's nice to start out the busiest month of the year with the bulk of the decorating done so you can enjoy all the activities and fun of the season!
I am linking-up with Andrea at Momfessionals blog to share my decor.
First up is the big, family Christmas tree in our living room. It's big and bulky and there is not a lot of room for tall stuff under it but we love it! This year I changed it up quite a bit but still used a lot of things I already had. I made some embroidery hoop ornaments, added a Santa hat, and made some chalkboard prints framed in red. Everything else is what I already had on hand.
I got my inspiration for this year's tree from the Pottery Barn catalog. I think I got pretty close! I even had some letters done up in glitter but I just didn't have room for them. Maybe next year!
I spray painted an old frame and added a free printable. I have a ledge on either side of our big picture window in our living room. I love to change them out each season.
Stockings hung on the hutch because we don't have a fireplace mantel. Maybe one day we will! :) I still need to get Daddy's embroidered.
A few seasonal touches in the office.
The top portion of the hutch all decorated.
These cute, primitive trees are from Hobby Lobby (50% off boo ya!)
My big project last week was getting our first Christmas countdown finished. This baby is 5 feet long and so we hung it in our long hallway in the middle of our house. I haven't gotten all the items for each day but I have most of them. I got this idea from Thrifty Decor Chick (and PB).
Last year, after Christmas, I snagged some awesome deals on small trees, small ornaments and tiny tree skirts. The trees were just $10. I got the skirts and ornaments at Target. This one is in Jonah's room. He calls it a Santa tree.
Here is Haley's girly tree with the colors of her room.
Thank you for stopping by my little space and I hope you have the merriest of Christmases!!
