First Boat Ride

Last weekend we had beautiful weather and Michael had been wanting to get his boat out and make sure it was still running good. He bought a little boat for fishing out of earlier this year. He hasn't got to do much fishing out of it though. He suggested we all ride down to the boat dock (about 5 minutes from our house) and take a spin in it. So once Jonah got up from his nap we headed down there. I got some good shots of Michael and Jonah too.

Jonah was excited to ride in the boat and he only got scared one time when Michael was going fast. Really he wasn't going that fast because the boat has a small engine on it but it probably seemed fast to Jonah. So we just puttered around near the boat dock. Jonah held his puppy the whole time and just took in all the sights.

 Just leaving the boat dock.....

Some of the colors starting to change. The colors have really come out a lot over this week.

Leads to the main river (Cumberland River).

Lots of pretty colors!

More colors.

Turtles sunning on a log.

A little closer view of the turtles.

A rope swing that someone built little steps and a rail out to.

Cute Daddy and son shot.

Jonah had a big time. The best part was when we were puttering along slowly and all of a sudden a big silver fish jumped out of the water right beside our boat. Jonah got to see it too. He was so excited and kept saying "big fish jumped". Then later on we saw a white crain in the shallow end so we puttered over closer until it flew away. Jonah kept saying "white duck." LOL

Love days like this that we can do new things as a family!
